Bangor Elementary is excited to invite families to its three-week Summer Camp Program beginning Tuesday, June 9. Camp will take place three days each week on June 9-11, June 16-18, and June 23-25, and students currently enrolled in grades 1-7 are eligible to participate.
This state-funded program will offer students a well-rounded experience that includes academic assistance, enrichment activities, and recreation. Staff are planning three themed weeks focused on Beauty in Nature’s Art, Reusable Resources, and Earth Science, with Ms. Thao and Ms. Lococo rotating during the academic portion of the day. Ms. Cammie will serve as Summer Camp Coordinator and will be assisted by Ashley Locke.
The daily schedule will begin with grab-and-go breakfast from 8:00-8:20 a.m., followed by academic activities from 8:20 a.m.-12:00 p.m. Students will also have lunch, recess, a snack break, and afternoon activities through 5:00 p.m. Please note that times may vary depending on excursions and daily activities. A detailed calendar and permission form for district vehicle transportation on field trips will be shared soon once excursions are confirmed.
Families are asked to submit the registration form by May 30 in order to enroll their child in this valuable summer learning opportunity. There is no cost to families, and all meals and materials will be provided. Please note that transportation to and from school will not be available.
If you have questions, please contact the office at 679-2434 ext. 201 or email Ms. Cammie at cshankland@bangorunion.org.
